Five Rooftop Experiences in Columbus You Won’t Want to Miss this Summer

Summer is here and that means rooftop patios are open for business! Whether you’re meeting up for a business meeting in the afternoon or want to experience a night out on the town, there is a rooftop for you. Check out the list of our five favorite rooftop experiences that Columbus has to offer!

Lincoln Social Rooftop

If you’re looking for the place to be this month, Lincoln Social is the place. Just opened recently by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, this venue has an “epic rooftop experience” with signature cocktails crafted by expert mixologists and award-winning cuisine. They offer many standard options from several pizzas, barbacoa tacos, lobster corn dogs, ‘and galaxy doughnuts (so good!). People are already raving over it all over social media. According to Lincoln Social, “the views, the food, the cocktails, the hospitality, and the design are ‘Above it All.”

Find Lincoln Social located on the 9th floor of the 711 North High Street building in the Short North. If you did not take a picture with their flower wall were you even there?

Seventh Son Brewing

If you are looking for something a little bit different, check out Seventh Son. Opened in April of 2013 in the historic Italian Village, this brewery opened a rooftop area in 2018 to commemorate their five-year anniversary. What’s a little bit different about this one is that it utilizes a retractable roof and features a full bar so you can be merry in all weather conditions. Hint: if you don’t like beer try the frozen Paloma 🙂

Don’t believe us? Check out what Mackenzie H. had to say,

“Great beer and even better vibes! The building concept is perfect, and the brewery always has a great selection when it comes to the food trucks that park nearby. The beer reps are awesome and always a pleasure to see. The atmosphere the brewery has created for itself is palpable from brew to crew! Seventh Son rocks.”

Juniper

If you have ever been to an urban rooftop wedding in Columbus, Juniper is very likely to have been the location. Located on top of The Smith Bros Hardware Company building, this venue is uber cool. Built in 1929, this building hosted the original location of Smith Bros Hardware, however, this has not been the case in over 30 years. Now the site of office space, event centers, and Juniper Rooftop this building offers one of the best views of the Columbus skyline.

The rooftop is sometimes reserved for private events but is open to the public! To make sure you can get in, check out their calendar here.

Vaso

Do you want a location that’s not in the urban setting? Then Vaso would be the place for you. Located in Dublin on top of the AC Hotel Building, Vaso offers a menu filled with Spanish tapas, cocktails, and other options. Take the glass elevator to the rooftop lounge and see the view of the beautiful Scioto River and Downtown Historic Dublin. Check it out today!

Antiques on High

The newest addition to German Village from Seventh Son Brewing. Antiques on High is focused on the production of sour and wild beers, along with several cocktails and wines on draft. They do not offer food at the moment, but often have different food trucks out back from a wide variety of backgrounds.

While the inside of this bar is cool, the rooftop lounge is even cooler. Hang out by the fire and drink a Doppelganger (very similar to the frozen Paloma at Seventh Son) or look up at the stars. This is one of our favorite new hangout spots in the Village and we hope you like it just as much as we do.

As you can see, there are lots of rooftop experiences to discover in the Columbus area. Let us know which one is your favorite, and remember if you’re looking to buy or sell a house, we would love to help you! You might want to get closer to some of these rooftops! 🙂
